Robert Doisneau Photography

by kate

Hi guys, I am Kate Jameson and I will be writing for planetnix on fashion and photography. To kick it off I am starting with one of my favourite photographers Robert Doisneau.

Did you visit google homepage today? If you did then you know its Robert Doisneau’s(1912-1994) 100th birthday. In the 1930s he used a Leica on the streets of Paris together with Henri Cartier-Bresson, he was a pioneer of photojournalism.

He is renowned for his image Le baiser de l’hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Hôtel de Ville, taken in 1950), a photo of a couple kissing in the busy streets of Paris.
